USA Import's...

The Specials - Gangsters stereo/mono Promo...this is where it all started...not the 2 Tone collecting but the imports collecting...sometime early 8t's...no ebay then just record fairs and a local record shop that specialised in absolutely everything...and of course there was Pete Widdison on the scooter rallies (Groove Records)...

The Specials/The Selecter - Gangsters/The Selecter...

The Special AKA - Nelson Mandela Promo...I haven't put the same side up twice!!..both sides of this Promo are Stereo...this is the only way to own this on a black and white label...the issue is a blue Chrysalis label and doesn't look this good...

Canadian Import...

The Specials - More Specials...inner sleeve contains a complete lyrics sheet...how cool is that!!..

Japanese Import...

The Specials/The Selecter - Gangsters/The Selecter...no internet back when I bought this in the early 8t's...wasn't as cheap as it's become now we have ebay and Discogs...probably cost me twenty quid back then!!..

Dutch Import's...

The Specials/The Selecter - Gangsters/The Selecter...I just love the European sleeves...ok so they don't have Walt on the majority of the labels but they certainly make up for it with the different designs on the sleeves...

The Specials - A Message To You Rudy/Nite Klub...

The Selecter - On My Radio/Too Much Pressure...this pressing has a gripper ring on the "B" side only...

The Selecter - On My Radio/Too Much Pressure...this pressing has a gripper ring on both the "A" & "B" sides...

The Selecter - On My Radio/Too Much Pressure...this pressing has no gripper rings on either side...

The Beat - Tears of a Clown/Ranking Full Stop...I don't think anyone has a clue what the design on this sleeve is about!!..

The Special AKA Live - Too Much Too Young...the sleeve has just followed the UK design...

The Selecter - Three Minute Hero

The Bodysnatchers - Let's Do Rocksteady...the Dutch have Walt giving a big thumbs up to this tune...

The Selecter - Missing Words...

The Specials - Rat Race...this is a weird one...both copies are Dutch...slightly different sleeves & labels...and both copies have Rude Boys Outta Jail spelt incorrectly...but only on the labels!!..

The Specials - Stereotype...

The Specials - Ghost Town/Why?...nice 2 Tone label on this...'B' side only contains one track though!!..

1990 repress to commemorate the release of Nelson Mandela...

not exactly 2 Tone but "Train to Skaville is my favourite Selecter track...it's actually my favourite Ska track from that era...

according to the inlay card spine this is titled "90 Much Pressure"!!..other contradiction is track two side one..."Time Hard" on the inlay card but "Everyday" on the cassette shell!!..track one side two is "On My Radio" which isn't on any of the UK releases of this album...

Rico - That man Is forward...pressed in Germany for the Dutch market...has "STEMRA" on the label...

European Import...

The Special AKA - Nelson Mandela...has three licenses on the label...Gema/Stemra/Biem...one pressing for most of Europe...

German Imports...

6155 271 The Specials - A Message To You Rudy/Nite Klub...nice colourful front cover with an advert for the album "Specials" on the back cover...

6155 277 The Beat - Tears of a Clown/Ranking Full Stop...cover art on this one has been the signature of SKA ever since it appeared...

9198 713 The Special AKA Live - Too Much Too Young 12"...

6198 357 The Specials - Rat Race/Rude Boys Outa Jail...really nice front & back cover...

102 221 - 100 The Bodysnatchers - Easy Life/Too Experienced...

102 867 - 100 The Specials - Do Nothing...nice UK style 2 Tone label adds a nice touch to this pressing...

102 351 - 100 The Selecter - The Whisper/Train To Skaville...almost a carbon copy of the Dutch release...

104 579 The Apollinaires - The Feelings Gone...stamped promotional copy with both GEMA & STEMRA on the label...didn't get a picture sleeve with this...

Spanish Imports...
