I bought this to replace the GTI that I managed to write off...I didn't take any photo's of it when it was just a shell with four steel wheels...

This is the start of phase two...the vehicle was taken on a trailer from VolksMagic in Oldbury to Moss Trimmings in Wolverhampton...

American boot hatch...it's been a nightmare to find a light for it...this one has been borrowed from Lee at VolksMagic...

still has the old hood on it...too much grey...it has to go to make way for a blue mohair replacement...shame really...there isn't much wrong with this hood...

engine bay is mega clean...new radiator...new Weber carburettor...even clean water in the new washer bottle...

just love those wheels...

this is all for the bin...full leather interior is on it's way...CD player for that nasty hole in the dash...

new valance and slam panel...the slam panel had rotted in the six years it had stood in a lock-up...this was the only part of the car that had any sign of aging on it...the valance had been damaged when the car was transported from the lock-up to the spray shop...

new bonnet...new windscreen...new paint job...the word new has left a big hole in my pocket...
